Jul 08, 2012  Tutorial on setting up a Tera Damage Meter Download at (ad is just for me to count the downloads) Updated link. The tera DPS meter which was uploaded on teratoday is better than the elitist meter because it shows your 'damage per second' as well which is a measurement of your own performance (of course healer debuffs, endurance debuffs have a great impact on that as well). The elitist meter is just a tool for you to feel good over others.

Here a fast reply, dps meters are legal in tera EU (you wont be banned for checking your dps with this as i got a reply from support once when i asked) the best one is shinra dps meter which gets constantly updated (best is to stick with shinra since some meters might contain things that gameforge doesnt approve). Options panel with clear navigation, open and close windows at a glance, bookmark favorite displays. Reliable Results. Consistency on real-time combat log reading, damage and healing are always accurate with ranking web sites such as warcraftlogs. Shinra
in Off-Topic
So I used WTFast to help my ping out since I live in Australia + I've just recently downloaded ShinraMeter DPS Calculator. I'm unable to use both programs together since Shinra comes up with No server. I've looked into the issue and everywhere I go says I need to get the Proxies IP/use Socket Mode though I don't know what that means/how to do it. Can anybody here help me?

  • Moving this to off-topic since it concerns another piece of software (not TERA).
  • 1st of all, WTFast is just a placebo effect! It's like when someone joke about downloading more RAM lol
There is NO SUCH thing as a software that will magically reduce your ping!
As for the DPS meter to recognize the servers, you need WinPcap.

This guy speaks the truth. WTFast even has a shady past, such as breaking Steam ToS by bribing people to give good reviews.
Anyway, that WinPcap won'd do him any good. Using proxies such as WTFast indeed requires him to manually set his DPS meter to take the data from WTFast and not Tera.

WTFast DOES work! It is not placebo.
But it might not be as magical as they claim on their videos and the likes.
The thing is, our connection to Tera goes thru various 'nodes', and if you live far away, the more nodes you go thru, and bigger is the chance you'll have to go thru a 'bad' node, a node in which your ping skyrockets.
But you might only need that route with the bad node when connecting to Tera, for example.
What WTFast does is it connects you to a different server, in an attempt to make your connection go thru a different route, in an attempt to avoid bad nodes.
If your connection doesn't go thru bad nodes, nothing will happen. That's why people often say WTFast is placebo, it's because it doesn't affect them.
    As for OP:
To put ShinraMeter in raw sockets mode, open the file window.xml with notepad, find a line that reads <winpcap>true</winpcap> and replace it with <winpcap>false</winpcap>
To make ShinraMeter work with WTFast, you will need to find the IP of the WTFast server you're connecting to first, it might not be so easy: you will have to download some tool to do it, I recommend TCPView: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx
Use it while connected to Tera thru WTFast, find all the connections WTFast has established and pick the one that looks more like a Tera connection ('Sent Bytes'/'Received Bytes' should likely be rising up or reacting to stuff like opening your ingame inventory/changing area and stuff like that). When you identify the connection WTFast is using, take note of the 'Remote Address' value of that connection.
Then to make ShinraMeter use that address, you'll have to open the file resources/data/servers.txt inside ShinraMeter's folder with notepad, and append the following: 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx My WTFast connection' and replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the 'Remote Address' you acquired from TCPView. After that you should pick 'My WTFast connection' as your server in ShinraMeter's interface.
    It should work
