How To Open Dmg File On Mac
I am trying to install a copy of TurboTax on my Mac. I own the DVD/CD, but don't have an optical drive on my machine. I do have a spare Windows machine (Panasonic toughbook) that I can use, but when I open up the Turbotax folder, I do not see the DMG file.
The CD/DVD says it is for BOTH Windows and Mac. So I am assuming there is a dmg on there somewhere.
Anyone know how I can open it on the Windows machine, and transfer it to a thumbdrive so I can install it on my Mac?

Jan 10, 2020 The.dmg contains what appears to be a Windows/Mac hybrid image because if you open the package it's filled with Microslop files! Additionally, if you launch the TurboTax application it does NOT obey the User's Preferences file (i.e. Do NOT check for Updates). Jun 03, 2019 Usually that message happens if you are trying to open a file other than a xxxx.tax2016 file or the file has become corrupted - if corrupted then only restoring from a backup copy will fix the problem. Be sure that the file you are trying to open is xxx.tax2016 file. First open the TurboTax application that should be in your Applications folder.
