If your Netflix movies and TV shows etc are already downloaded on your Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the best choice for you is to use AirPlay to play Netflix on Apple TV. And also, the Apple TV 1 hasn’t the function. For Apple TV 1 owners, the Part 3 is the only solution. Part 3: Download and Convert Netflix to Apple TV. From your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch home screen, press and hold the Netflix app until it shakes. Tap the X in the top left corner of the Netflix icon, then tap Delete. Once deleted, press the Home button to stop the shaking. Enter the App Store and search for 'Netflix.' Select the free Netflix app from Netflix, Inc.
Netflix recently updated its iOS app to support the third-generation iPad's high resolution 'retina' display. Unfortunately, the app still only plays back standard definition video. That could change soon, however, as Netflix says HD streaming is in the works.
Netflix increased its highest available resolution to 1080p some time ago, offering the higher resolution to devices like the Roku and Xbox 360. Netflix also serves up 1080p video to the recently updated Apple TV. But despite being capable of displaying 1080p HD video on its 2048x1536 pixel display, the iPad is left out of the HD party and still receives SD video from Netflix.
'The video is not in HD yet,' Netflix Director of Corporate Communications Joris Evers confirmed to Mashable. 'That is on our roadmap, but I can't share timing at this point.'

As Mashable noted, the only streaming video app serving 1080p streams to the new iPad as of this writing is the ABC app. HBO Go, Cinemax Go, and PBS still only stream in standard definition. At least the Hulu Plus app offers a 720p stream, according to a Hulu representative, though there was no indication if or when there might be a 1080p option.

These apps may not rush to move to full HD video just yet, though. Even standard definition video streams can eat through monthly wireless data allotments, as some recent iPad 3 owners recently discovered, and HD video streams will only exacerbate that particular problem.
