Hey guys, I wanted to get your thoughts on maxing cooldown reduction on Olaf. I have been playing around with different rune/mastery/item, looking for something unique that works fairly well in TT as well as SR. The goal is the keep vicious strikes up during the whole fight, and be able to spam rectless swing as much as possible.
Runes- ArmP marks, flat CDR seals, CDR/lvl glyphs, CDR/lvl quints.
11/0/19, taking all CDR bonus's
ghost & exhaust, or maybe smite. not 100% yet.
With the runes/masteries, your at 26% cdr (lvl18). Ghostblade puts you at 40%, which leaves the rest of the build up to your imagination.
Viscious strikes 12 sec cooldown is now 7ish, and stays up for 6. Not bad.
Undertow I dont really care about much, since ghostblade + hopefully mallet, does all the chasing needed.
Reckless swings @ lvl 5, 4 sec cooldown, now at 2.5ish. Thats a lot of lightning strikes.
Obviously, R>E>W>Q, with 1 point in UT for chasing early.

brutalizer + boots 1 @ 1687 gold
finish ghostblade
finish boots of swiftness
phage
work on starks or mallet.
tl;dr
max cdr with seals, quints, glyphs, 11/0/19 mastery
rush ghostblade, capping 40% cdr
keep VS up; spam RS every 2 secs

His axe is on a 6 second cd (reset completely as soon as he picks it up) and his Reckless Swing on a 2 sec cd. He needs 0 damage items to absolutely destroy enemy champs. His runes are: Marks and Glyphs: +14 Magic Pen.

I used to have a lost of issues of AS while playing as olaf. The thing is, you DON'T need to build AS on him at all.
I used to think that this wasn't true, but I was mistaken. You need to get your wriggles first, even before you finish your boots. Then you get your atmogs combo, you can now either build randuins and force of nature or go for infinity edge and banshees veil. If the game goes on long enough, sell your wriggles and get a blood thirster.
So:
Standard build:
Wriggles> Merc treads> Warmogs> Atma's Impaler> Force of nature> Randuin's Omen.
Standard build broken down:
Vamp scepter> Level 1 boots> Finish wriggles> Finish merc treads> Giants belt> Finish warmogs>
Now depending on whether you need to start criting or you need armor, build your atma's impaler.
To this point in the game, it's up to you to start building your Randuin's or Force of nature, depending on what you need most.
Why you don't need AS items:
-Olaf has an AS giving passive, the more health you lose the more AS you get.
-Olaf needs to get upclose and personal to do damage, and unless you have the sustain or health to do so, you'll not be able to do jack ****. Glass cannon olaf is pretty easy to rape...
-As long as you land your axe and keep spamming your E, olaf has enough chasing power and burst to kill an champ you are after...
