• Aug 09, 2017  The logs state that it is unable to mount one of the images for install (InstallESD.dmg). I tried a repair on the SSD. The DMG highlighted below is definitely there. Repairing the SSD actually fails, not sure why. I can reinstall Sierra but I haven't actually done a rebuild of the disk and then a reinstall.

I now try connecting it and it will not longer mount. It isn't even listed in the USB devices section, when I check 'System Information'.

- macOS Sierra 10.12.6

After installation, both through App Store and installation from external USB, the computer reboots and nothing has changed. Tried to run installation from safe mode and from recovery which gave the following error message: An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again.'

Also, tried to repair the volume which gave me the following error message (roughly translated from Swedish):

Repairing the file system.

Unable to unmount the volume from desktop.

Recreating the original status as linked in.

Could not delete the disc from the desktop for repair.

Repairing disk failed with error.

Also, in order to rule out hardware error I repartitioned the disc, installed Sierra on the new volume and upgraded it to High Sierra Beta GM without any problems.

Also, again, I installed an early release of High Sierra Beta but reverted back to Sierra through Time Machine restore as it was to buggy.

Any ideas or solutions that might get me a solution on this?
