Below is our guide for prioritizing your abilities optimally. This should help give you a basic understanding of what to do and what's most important to focus on. Each rotation list is more of a 'priority list'--in real-time, you'll constantly be determining which ability to use next. Out of all abilities you have available, use the one highest up in the priority list.
The DPS Rotation for Arcane Mages consists of two phases, a Conservation Phase and Burn Phase. The Conservation Phase is used when Evocation and Arcane Power are on cooldown.
Holy Priest Rotation
- Charged Up (if no Arcane Charges)
- Rune of Power (Under the conditions in Note 1)
- Arcane Blast (if Rule of Threes is up)
- Arcane Missiles (with Clearcasting procs)
- Arcane Barrage (Under the conditions in Note 2)
Note 1: Use Rune of Power if you have 4 Arcane Charges and will cap with Rune of Power charges before using Arcane Power.
Note 2: Use Arcane Barrage if you have 4 Arcane Charges & less than 60% mana.
Enter the burn phase under the conditions that Arcane Power is ready, you have > 30% mana, 4 Arcane Charges, and at least one charge of Rune of Power.
- Arcane Blast (if Rule of Threes is up)
- Presence of Mind (See Note 3)
- Arcane Missiles (with Clearcasting procs See Note 4)
- Evocation (once OOM [out-of-mana])
Note 3: Try to time Presence of Mind for casting more Arcane Blast before Arcane Power expires.

- See single target rotation.
- Replace Arcane Blast with Arcane Explosion to build Arcane Charge with 3+ targets.
- Use Arcane Barrage with 4 Arcane Charge when 3+ targets are present.
- Evocation Use as directed in the Burn Phase section.
- Arcane Power Use as directed in the Burn Phase section.
- Time Warp Use as directed by your raid or party leader.
