I’m a level 50 Sage healer, and I’ve got a long way to go on gear. As I’ve been researching how I should go about improving my gear and advancing to harder endgame content, I see more experienced players talking about diminishing returns on Crit and being frustrated with their high level gear because it has too much Crit. Up to this point, I’ve been focused on building up Crit and right now my crit rate is about 34%. Can anyone give me any advice on where the sweet spot is for Crit on a Sage healer? Jan 26, 2012 My advice would be to start focusing on +Willpower and +Surge at around 37-38% crit rate, let the +Willpower take you the rest of the way to 40% (presuming you're taking both of the +crit talents). This will get you to the sweet spot for crit, improve your damage/healing and give you even larger crits. At 150% (understandably when Crit Damage looses its initial 50% head start), only 90 and 100% Crit Rates win. Fatal vs Rage Sets The implications of this mean that at the 40% increase (the increase you can get from choosing Fatal or Rage) any Crit Rate above 45 will have Crit Damage win all else equal.
